2016 CONFERENCE FLYER

2016 HSC STUDENT DAY – click here for rego

This year, we are simultaneously holding the HSC Student Conference and the Teacher Professional Learning for Aboriginal Studies teachers as a one day event.

2016 HSC Student Conference – Friday 2 December

Similar to previous years, this student conference will focus on the HSC Aboriginal Studies course.

The Conference will be held at Sydney University, Faculty of Education and Social Work.

2016 Teacher Professional Learning Conference – Friday 2 December

This event will have 3 streams of Conference workshops:

Stage 6 Aboriginal Studies (including assessment and programming)

Cross-curricular connections

Aboriginal Languages and cultural education

The teacher conference will include interactive workshops where teachers collaborate on all aspects of designing, implementing, and marking assessments.

Current or prospective teachers of Stage 5 and Stage 6 Aboriginal Studies will benefit from the day’s program. This format caters for teachers who wish to bring students to the lecture day and also attend the teacher professional learning. All students will be fully supervised by accredited teachers in adjoining rooms during the concurrent teacher sessions.

Teachers who wish to attend the professional learning sessions will need to register for this day and pay the registration. The teacher conference is fully accredited with BOSTES and (for DoE teachers) will be accessible on the MyPL tab in the Portal soon.
