The Spinney Press: Weblinks for Students

The Spinney Press has been dedicated to producing an ongoing series of books on social issues since 1992. Issues in Society titles are topical, cross-curricular resources and have been used extensively in Australian secondary schools, TAFE colleges, universities and public libraries.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education: Resources for pre-service teachers

The Respect Relationships Reconciliation (3Rs) study resources are designed to support teacher educators incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content in initial teacher education (ITE) courses.

The Uluru Statement

The Uluru Statement from the Heart is an invitation to the Australian people. We ask Australians to accept our invitation to walk with us in a movement of the Australian people for a better future. We call for the establishment of a First Nations Voice enshrined in the Constitution and a Makarrata Commission to supervise a process of agreement-making and truth-telling about our history.

Australian Curriculum: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cross Curriculum Priority

The first Australian Curriculum was released in 2010 to improve the quality, equity and transparency of Australia’s education system. It represents an explicit statement of the priorities and aspirations we hold for our young people, and about what the Australian community values as the knowledge, understanding and skills that our young people should attain while at school.

Reconciliation Australia

An independent not-for-profit organisation which promotes and facilitates reconciliation by building relationships, respect and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Reconciliation Australia focuses on influencing organisations, people and policies.

The NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. is a non for profit Aboriginal organisation that provides advice on all matters relevant to education and training with the mandate that this advice represents the Aboriginal community viewpoint.
